In the second episode of Sentient, Lithuanian professors of neuroscience Valentina Vengelienė and Osvaldas Rukšėnas debunk some myths around addiction, explain what happens in the brain of addicted person. “Of all psychiatric disorders, alcohol addiction is the most complex one”, says prof. Vengelienė who have been carrying out the research on the topic for more than 20 years and still hopes for positive results.
